🌞 Beaches & Swimming

Menton’s coastline offers a mix of quiet coves, long pebble beaches and clear water, all easily reached from Villa Monti. Whether you prefer a relaxed swim, a morning walk along the promenade or a day at one of the Riviera’s more hidden beaches, the shoreline has options for every mood.  For your beach days, Villa Monti provides complimentary beach chairs, parasols and towels..

🏖️ Plage des Sablettes

Plage des Sablettes is Menton’s signature beach — a wide, sheltered curve of pale pebbles set beneath the old town, with calm water and a lively but relaxed Riviera atmosphere. It’s the most comfortable beach for guests who enjoy a blend of natural beauty, easy amenities and a touch of seaside luxury.

Along the shoreline, several private beach clubs offer sandy beaches, sunbed rentals, parasols and full bedside service, with restaurants serving Mediterranean dishes, fresh seafood and summer cocktails. Thanks to the new breakwater completed in 2026, these beach clubs will now remain open throughout winter, creating a vibrant year‑round seaside scene.

At the eastern end of the beach, the Centre Nautique offers paddle‑board hire, kayaks and seasonal water activities — perfect for guests who want a more active day on the water.

Facing the public beach, a row of restaurants lines the promenade, offering everything from traditional Mediterranean cuisine to pizza, sushi, and casual cafés. It’s an easy place to spend the day: swim, relax, then wander across the promenade for lunch or sunset dinner with views of the bay.

🚤 Port Garavan

Just east of Sablettes, Port Garavan offers a quieter, more refined atmosphere. As a marina, there’s no beach here — instead you’ll find calm water, moored sailboats and a relaxed promenade that feels distinctly different from the livelier Sablettes shoreline.

In recent years, the port has become a small hub of its own, with new cafés and restaurants overlooking the boats, perfect for a peaceful drink or dinner away from the crowds. It’s also a practical spot for guests: car and bike rentals are available directly at the port, making it an easy starting point for exploring the coastline or heading into the hills.

Port Garavan is ideal for guests who enjoy a quieter seaside setting, waterfront dining, and convenient access to transport options.

🌊 Plage du Borrigo

Plage du Borrigo is a long, spacious stretch of grey pebbles with clear water and a relaxed, local feel. It’s a simple, natural place to swim, with no beach clubs or structured facilities, making it easy for guests who prefer straightforward seaside days.

Just behind the beach, the Promenade du Soleil is lined with restaurants and cafés, giving the area a gentle liveliness and plenty of options for drinks or casual meals. It’s an easy spot to spend the day: swim, dry off on the pebbles, then wander across the promenade for something to eat.

Plage du Borrigo is ideal for guests who enjoy uncomplicated swims, local ambience and convenient access to seaside dining.

🌅 Plage de Buse (Roquebrune‑Cap‑Martin)

One of the Riviera’s most beautiful hidden beaches — a long, elegant curve of pale pebbles set beneath the cliffs of Roquebrune‑Cap‑Martin. The water is exceptionally clear, and the atmosphere is refined and tranquil.

It’s also very easy to reach: take the train two stops from Menton‑Ville to Cap‑Martin‑Roquebrune, then follow the short footpath down to the shoreline. The descent opens onto turquoise water and dramatic coastal views.

🏖️ Cap Martin & Natural Swimming Spots

Along the Promenade Le Corbusier, rocky coves and deep blue water create some of the area’s most scenic swimming spots. Ideal for confident swimmers who prefer natural settings over structured beaches.
